On December 12th, the Scottish Government releases their budget - telling us their spending priorities for the coming year.

Government budgets are really important for people who care about gender equality; they let us know whether there are going to be cuts in vital services, any new initiatives that are planned and, vitally, anything that isn't mentioned at all.

So join us where we'll be reading through the budget statements, making a note of anything of interest, and chatting about what it means for women's equality. Many people coming along will never have read a budget before so don't let that put you off - there are no silly questions!

We'll be meeting at the Engender offices in Edinburgh with a bottomless supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. If you can't attend in person, we'll also have a video link set up which you can join here (please let us know using the 'special requirements' box on the booking form if you'll be attending by video link and we'll email you detailed instructions before the meeting).
