How Scotland's Budget can work for women
August 9, 2021, 18.30
Ahead of the Scottish Budget cycle and to contribute to pre-budget scrutiny we are hosting a policy dialogue event to build SWBG’s response to Scottish Parliament Finance Committee consultation on Scotland's public finances. Join us to discuss what you’d like to see in a recovery budget and how it can work to tackle inequality.
National budget’s affect our lives everyday. What are your priorities for building a fair and equal recovery? How can this year’s budget progress gender equality? What would you like SWBG to prioritise in our response this year.
At the policy dialogue we’ll hear from SWBG members about the economic impact of Covid-19 on women in Scotland and have space for discussion between participants to consider how the 2022-23 Scottish Budget can lay the foundations for a fair and equal recovery.
Can’t make our event, individuals can respond directly to the Government consultation here: https://yourviews.parliament.scot/finance/scotlands-public-finances-22-23-and-impact-covid/
This is the first of a series of policy dialogue SWBG will be hosting through 2021 as an opportunity for members and supporters to contribute priorities to our calls for action.
