What do the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections have in store for women’s equality?

Hosted by a coalition of national women’s organisations and campaign groups, this online hustings is an opportunity for political parties to set out their commitments for women’s equality before the upcoming Scottish Parliament election in May.

Representatives from the main political parties will take part to answer your questions on some of the most pressing issues impacting women’s lives in Scotland.

Asking questions

Our chair for the hustings is award-winning journalist Tasnim Nazeer, who will be hosting the panel and asking pre-submitted questions to party representatives.

When you register, you’ll be given the opportunity to submit a question. The deadline to submit questions is 9th March. To allow time to cover as many different issues as possible, questions will be grouped into similar topics to be asked by the chair. We’ll aim to get through as many questions as possible on the night, but if your question is not asked, we encourage you to reach out to your local candidates and ask them!
